My Identity

My name is Malik. I choose to identify myself through my family. I am a son, grandson, nephew and brother. I choose to identify myself through my family because when I'm asked where I'm from and I say Canada the next question is always where are your parents from then. This makes me feel as if my identity is based off of my parents and not me. My family is also the most important thing in my life so it is also what I identify most with. I also identify myself as a athlete because sports are one of my favourite things to do and it is something that I feel directly relates to me. The last thing I identify myself with is my clothes. My clothes represent that I like to be comfortable and relaxed.
